MATERIALS:
  • #4 streamer hook
  • White G thread
  • White and black Marabou
  • Flash or peacock
  • Chain bead eyes

TYING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Put chain eyes on about 1/2" back from hook eye.
  2. Tie on flash, extend about 2" from bend in hook.
  3. Tie on small clump of black Marabou behind chain and extend about 1 1/2" behind bend.
  4. Tie on slightly larger clump of black marabou in front of beads and cover with thread all the way back over the eyes and to the hook eye figure 8 style.
  5. Turn hook over in vise and tie on nice clump of white Marabou, wrapping from hook eye to bead eyes.
NOTES: "Here is a fly to fish downstream and across the current slightly. If you use lead eyes for deeper or swifter water, just reverse the color sequence because it will ride hook up and you want the black on top (in the water this fly looks just like the time proven original Rapala lure) and it is a killer."
