Galen "Skip" Walters was a regular figure here at River Smallies.com where he was known as River Rat. Skip provided insight, humor, and enjoyed taking part in the discussions in the message forum. On February 8, 2001 (his birthday), Skip was fishing on the Susquehanna River when he fell overboard and drowned. The weeks that followed were traumatic for his family, friends, and those who knew him through the site. The outpouring of concern and support was overwhelming! Finally, on March 21, Skip's body was found and at least it helped bring some peace in a very difficult time, especially for his wife and family.
