For the past several months I have been testing a couple of products from Holdzit Products, Inc. out of Oregon. One of the items is the company's Fisherman's Dual Tool Saver (w/ belt loop). The outside of this unique tool holster is made of industrial-grade vinyl which is waterproof. The vinyl has a rough texture for easy gripping even when wet. The interior of the holster contains lubricated sleeves which completely surround your pliers, forceps, or other tools. The sleeves keep your tools lubricated and rust-free. The sleeves are made to absorb WD-40 which can be easily reapplied from time to time.
The particular holster I've been testing has dual slots, one for large pliers and one for a smaller tool. There is a convenient belt-loop which can also be used to mount the holster to a boat or float-craft. I've used mine while wading and while fishing from my boat. My favorite fishing pliers have remained rust-free and get lubricated every time I put them in the holster.
There are several holsters in the Holdzit Tool Saver line. All of the tool savers are waterproof, very tough, and salt-water resistant. If you're tired of rusty fishing pliers, it would be worth your time to take a look at these inexpensive tool savers. They will greatly extend the life of your tools.
The Comfort Grip will fit most freshwater rods and reels in the 8-20lb. class. Holdzit also makes a Comfort Cap for baitcasters and a Comfort Grip for spinning reels. Visit their web site for the complete line of products as well as pricing and ordering information.
