Dexter WalkMocs
by Cap'n Chuck Duggins

While guiding, I habitually stand in the boat almost all day. At the end of the day it used to feel as if someone had been beating on my heels with a large, ball-peen hammer. For two years now, I have been wearing the same pair of WalckMocs in the boat and, this year, added two MORE pair of the same shoes for general use. These shoes are loafer style, have a thick soft insole, and a varied color choice. I use beige in the boat and at summer shows and have added a pair of brown ones for general use.

I discovered years ago that comfortable boat shoes were extremely hard to find. Black and brown shoes of ANY kind tend to cook my feet when out in the bright summer sun all day. I also have found that regardless of care, in the past, about one season was all I could get out of any boat shoe. I was kind of surprised to find that the name inside this newest pair of Dexters would indicate they are a walking shoe. I thought they WERE a boat shoe and was quite surprised to find they are NOT. As far as I am concerned, I have just re-designated them as such!

My current pair have been covered in fishy stuff, wet more times than I can count, saddle soaped probably a half dozen or more times, kept waxed with neutral polish, and appear to be going to make it for a third year! My feet appreciate them, I thought you might, too. About $60 U.S. and well worth it.
