Falcon LowRider Rod
by Marc Hutchison

For the last few years I have seen advertisements and read numerous web testimonials on the phenomenal characteristics of the Falcon "Low Rider" rods. This year (1999) I was in need of a very strong, extremely sensitive, light, long lasting, tough-as-nails spinning rod for my smallmouth river adventures. Well, I decided on the Falcon "Low Rider" 6ft. one-piece spinning rod. I have never used a more well-rounded, multi-talented river rig. I was amazed at the sensitivity and the crushing back-bone strength of this rod. I have used it extensively on the New River (West Virginia) for smallmouth bass.

I can throw a 4" plastic worm one minute and then switch to a small in-line spinner all with distance and accuracy. I can pick up the slightest taps with the "Low Rider". I have even used it trout fishing and have felt the most minute tap-tap from wary rainbows. One of the most impressive characteristics of this rod is how light it is. I can use it all day long and I am not overly worn out from carrying it all day on the river. Like all things in life, there is usually never a "do-it-all" piece of equipment....for my money the Falcon "LowRider" can do it all...and how !!! There is supposed to be a lifetime warranty applied to Falcon rods. There are several series and styles of Falcon rods to choose from.
